{Recipe}GoanPrawn Rissois

 It is a simply snack with cheesy prwan stuffing in the the roundels prepared of all purpose flour and then shaped in those tiny moon like shape and then dip in egg and roll in bred crumbs and deep fry,so yummm...Rissois  recipe on my blog but not that perfect how i prepared today. Specially prepared as clive was missing rissois and since mum with me taking care of little one i got time to focus on cooking

Ingredients

For dough
1cup Atta(whole wheat flour)
½ cup maida(all purpose flour)

For filling
½ cup boiled prawns
½ cup milk
1 table spoon butter
2 tsp Maida
1/4 tsp pepper powder
1 pinch nutmeg
2 tsp ghee
Salt to taste + cheese optional
2 cups water
2 eggs
Bread crumbs

Method

Keep a pan on stove, add butter and milk .once it becomes warm add 2 tsp all purpose flour and cook together by stirring continuously so no lumps are formed. later add prawns ,salt ,crushed pepper ,nutmeg and stir well till everything is mixed properly.

Meanwhile to make dough for pastry keep vessel on pan add water and allow it to boil, then add salt +ghee 1/2 cup maida+ 1 cup atta and mix well till flour observes water. Once the dough mixture is cooled nicely mashed it with hands and make nice soft dough.


Make small roundels in from of small chapatti (if not round cut the round with a round cutter or round Tiffin) then add the stuffing of the prawn and fold the other end of the roti and press it well  so  end  the filling doesn't come out, after that deep the pastry in beaten egg roll in bread crumb and deep fry till golden brown.
